Restoration Projects:
- This study aimed to address the loss of L. nigrescens by assessing its capacity for restoration. This study reports the design and testing of a transplanting device that allows experimental manipulation of the kelp in its natural habitat.
- This study aimed to determine biotic factors that may be limiting local recolonisation of Lessonia along the northern Chilean coast. Specifically, it aimed to determine whether encrusting coralline algae limits the recruitment of Lessonia, and the mechanisms by which it does so.
